About
Myanmar Outreach Mission

Together we can bring the hope of Christ and His transforming power to Myanmar!

Myanmar Outreach Mission (MOM) partners with local pastors and missionaries to share the gospel of Jesus Christ across Myanmar. We support pastors and missionaries nationwide. A $40 gift each month sponsors a missionary so they can feed their families while they go into the forests and jungles for weeks at a time to minister to surrounding villages. They share the gospel and care for the people and help them build bamboo churches. They then train the new believers to share the gospel with those around them. One time gifts fund evangelism materials, medical care, crisis relief, vehicles, building, and rebuilding. Our support team is all volunteer and our administrative costs are kept low so gifts can reach the mission field. Join us with a monthly or one time gift.

Myanmar, formerly Burma, sits in Southeast Asia. Ancient Pyu and Mon peoples built cities and brought Buddhism. Britain annexed the region in 1886, and independence came in 1948. Decades of military rule followed. A brief period of democracy ended with the 2021 coup. The country is currently in the midst of a civil war. All outside missionaries have had to leave and no missionaries are allowed in. The only way to continue spreading the gospel is through national-to-national efforts like Myanmar Outreach uses.

ABOUT OUR FOUNDER

Cin Cin Morton founded Myanmar Outreach Mission after years of service and an unexpected move. Raised in Chin State, she studied at Bible college, earned a master’s degree, and was herself a missionary and church planter. While interpreting for a visiting team, she met her husband and moved to Winston-Salem, North Carolina, but her ties to Myanmar remained close.

After the coup in 2023, Cin Cin and her husband began sending support to trusted pastors and missionaries. Friends joined in, the effort grew, and a non-profit was formed to help meet the growing needs in the mission fields of Myanmar.
